One of our favourites of 2017, the closing track ‘Alan’ is up there for song of the year. Perfume Genius is the nom de poster-wraith of musician Mike Hadreas.

His 4th album was recorded in Los Angeles, produced by Blake Mills, mixed by Shawn Everett, and marks the follow-up to the breakthrough 2014 album ‘Too Bright.’
 
With his new songs, Hadreas goes even further, merging church music, makeout music, R&B, art pop, krautrock, and queer soul into his take on stadium anthems, completing the journey from critically acclaimed underground hero to fully fledged pop auteur.
